The main reason for this blog is to share some of the dog stories I’ve experienced over the years. I also worked for a dog rescue and fostered many dogs, as well as owning dogs myself.
Also friends and families dogs past and present will be included too.
Funny stories, sad stories and everything dog related.
Every breed will be welcome, pedigree or mixed , it doesn’t matter as long as they have waggy tails!
There will be informative content too, including health and behaviour issues and all about the process of rescuing a dog or buying a puppy from a breeder.
Who Is Behind Waggy Tales?
I first thought it would be a good way to record thoughts and events because my memory is dreadful. But then, people started interacting and sharing their stories too.
So, it’s about time I stopped hiding under the Waggy Tales Blog name and talked a little about myself.
I love all dogs. I fostered many rescue dogs and have two dogs myself one of which is an abandoned ex-stud dog. We recently lost our dog called Alfie which is why I am here really. I poured my feelings out in a poem and just started writing to take my mind off the awful grief that filled my existence.
The posts I have written about dog bereavement have been the most commented on. Many people reach out when they have lost a beloved pet and feel immense grief. There are poems and posts here on Waggy Tales which may help, and I appreciate and reply to all comments.
These are just two posts about dog bereavement.
Waggy Tales Book Reviews
My other hobby is reading, which is why I started to write book reviews. At first it was just to record my feelings about certain books and authors. However, I realised that my reviews might help others when deciding what to read next.
I always write honest reviews but never publish my opinions on books that I didn’t personally enjoy. I appreciate all the hard work that authors put into their work and respect the writing community.
My book reviews are from the genres of contemporary fiction, crime, biographies and children’s books. Many are dog related, both fiction and factual.
Thanks for reading, commenting and following.
Keep those tails wagging!
