My Thoughts On A Year Of Crochet Stitches

I have been looking for something like this book for years. My crochet skills are rather basic but I really enjoy making blankets, cushion covers, dog sweaters etc. However, it can be very repetitive when you only know three or four crochet stitches.

A Year Of Crochet stitches gives a new stitch every day in a handy flip top calendar style. Just perfect to pop in your craft box or keep by your side whilst following the step by step guides.I viewed this book as as a digital ebook,  but would recommend the hard copy for convenience. The calendar isn’t tied to a specific year so it can be used over and over again.

In order to use the calendar, you do need a very basic knowledge of crochet. The months are divided into themes which I liked, however I would like to know the actual name of each stitch.

Crochet is an enjoyable hobby which I personally find very therapeutic. With a little knowledge of stitches, pattern abbreviations, tension and technique it’s easy to start producing handcrafted items, even as a novice. Advanced crocheters produce beautiful, intricate and detailed work, which are true works of art. So, with this craft, there really is something for everyone.

This would make a great gift for anyone wanting to expand their skills. I will be using my stash of yarn to good use now and hopefully producing items a little more exciting than my usual granny squares!

Thank you to NetGalley for a digital copy of this item, which I have reviewed honestly.
