An Endless Cornish Summer
Phillipa Ashley
Escape to the seaside with this gorgeous new series from the Sunday Times bestselling author – perfect for fans of Trisha Ashley and Heidi Swain.
Rose Vernon is headed to a quiet Cornish village – to find the man who saved her life.
For Rose, every day is a gift. She narrowly survived a life-threatening illness and owes everything to her anonymous donor. Determined to thank him, Rose follows a trail of clues that lead her to the little Cornish fishing village of Falford.
But things become complicated when Rose is drawn into local life, becoming involved in the legendary Falford Regatta and meeting the handsome Morvah brothers – one of whom might just be the man she’s looking for. But which one?
Can Rose find the answer she’s searching for, or will she lose her heart before the summer is over?
My Thoughts
Archaeologist Rose goes to work on a dig in Cornwall secretly looking for a stranger who saved her life. After severe illness and the loss of her beloved grandma she takes the opportunity to travel to Falford with both hands. There, she is met by a warm and tightknit community of unique characters who provide shelter, friendship, romance and an eagerness to teach Rose everything about her new surroundings.
The Morvah brothers who own the local boat yard hold a special significance for Rose. However, despite growing feelings for one of them, she holds a secret close to her heart that could change everything.
This latest novel from Phillippa Ashley was such a treat, filled with mystery, romance, sailing the Cornish coast and delving into the folklore of this magical place. An Endless Cornish Summer captures everything great about Cornwall and leaves you with a warm, fuzzy feeling.
The writing is beautiful and incredibly well researched making the story informative as well as romantic and mysterious. Main character Rose has a friendly, optimistic nature which draws you in and the friends she makes are just as engaging.
This is one of my favourite reads this Summer.
