Six Steps To Happiness by Suzie Tullett
I am so happy to take part in the blog tour for Six Steps To Happiness today.
Many thanks to Sarah Hardy from Book on the Bright Side for the invitation to the tour

When Ronnie’s husband, Nick, leaves her for their next-door neighbour, Gaye, Ronnie’s life starts to fall apart.
Devastated by the break-up of her marriage, Ronnie is desperate for Nick and Gaye to set up home elsewhere. But Nick and Gaye won’t budge.
To add to her problems, Ronnie’s daughter and mother-in-law decide to stage an intervention. With her family keeping a close eye on her, Ronnie is forced to become more devious in her actions to get rid of Nick and Gaye.
But just how far will she go?
And is moving on ever that easy?
Six Steps to Happiness is a hilarious look at just how far one woman will go to recover from a broken heart and find happiness again.
My Thoughts
It must be heartbreaking if your husband leaves you and moves in with his new partner…..right next door! So imagine if he chooses to do this on your twenty-fifth wedding anniversary!.. (how cruel is that?).
So, it is understandable that Ronnie wants revenge. Actually, she just wants them to move away so that she doesn’t have to see their smug faces every day (which is a reasonable request I think!) However Nick and Gaye have decided that they are not going anywhere, so Ronnie feels that she has to move things along herself.
I was so pleased that Ronnie, in her fragile state of mind, had a great support network behind her. Daughter Willow and mother-in-law Bea decide to step in before Ronnie finds herself behind bars. Their ‘six-step plan’ is a clever way to make Ronnie see that there is a whole world waiting to be explored. She begins to see herself as a person and not just an extension of her ex-husband.
I loved to see the change in Ronnie throughout the book. Although she was incredibly hurt and betrayed, she showed resilience which I found incredibly endearing. Her story epitomises my favourite quote ‘What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger’. She was funny, eccentric and even open to finding love again… the type of character who could do the most outrageous things and yet I still found relatable and inspiring.
I just didn’t want this book to end!
Many thanks to Sarah and the publisher for a copy of the book, which I have reviewed honestly.
