Confetti at the Little Duck Pond Cafe by Rosie Green
Today I am joining the Blog Tour for Confetti at the Little Duck Pond Cafe by Rosie Green. Thank you to Rachel’s Random Resources, the author and publisher for a copy of the book, which I have reviewed honestly.
Confetti at the Little Duck Pond Cafe
Wedding fever is in the air in the village of Sunnybrook. With Ellie and Zak’s Big Day on the horizon, the sun is shining brightly on the Little Duck Pond Cafe community. But when dark clouds begin to roll in from more than one direction, several close relationships look to be under threat. Will the wedding of the year actually take place at all?
My Thoughts
First of all, I absolutely love that cover, all the covers in this series have been adorable and who could resist a book covered in love heart shaped confetti?
This is the sixth in the series and the fourth one that I have read. Its a lovely series of quick reads and they don’t really have to be read in order because Rosie Green is an expert at filling in the gaps.
I don’t know how Rosie does it but each book just gets better and for a novella she doesn’t half pack some drama between the pages. I like to read these books in one sitting so I waited until I had a few hours free, switched off my phone and settled down for a really enjoyable read.
We get to meet all the usual residents of Lily Pond Lane as well as animal loving Primrose, and Aggie the escape artist cow. There are all the usual comedy capers with an array of much-loved characters, like Ellie’s mum Rose who provides some heartwarmingly bittersweet moments. Ellie’s daughter Maisie melted my heart not to mention her puppy sidekick Maisie Moo. It’s not your usual wedding romance but a fast-paced drama when things don’t go to plan and there’s a surprise for everyone at the conclusion. Rosie Green doesn’t shy away from some serious subjects either, all of which are dealt with sympathetically and I can guarantee there won’t be a dry eye in the house!
Here is the blog tour poster, I hope you can stop by and see what our other lovely book bloggers think of this charming, little book.
Author Bio
Rosie Green has been scribbling stories ever since she was little. Back then they were rip-roaring adventure tales with a young heroine in perilous danger of falling off a cliff or being tied up by ‘the baddies’. Thankfully, Rosie has moved on somewhat, and now much prefers to write romantic comedies that melt your heart and make you smile, with really not much perilous danger involved at all, unless you count the heroine losing her heart in love.
Rosie’s brand new series of novellas is centred on life in a village café. Confetti at the Little Duck Pond Cafe will be the sixth in the series
