MY REVIEW

Tori Peterson’s world is turned upside down when she witnesses a child abduction and fails to stop Abby Brady being taken. She has her own very personal reasons for wanting this young girl to be found. As a child of a similar age, Tory was abducted and the two cases appear to be strangely similar.

Tori uses her journalistic skills to get to the bottom of this case. She reluctantly accepts the help of Mark, a widowed single father whose daughter goes to the same school. Mark ‘s first instinct is to protect Tori, then his feelings become stronger and a romantic storyline begins to surface.

I admired Tori’s single-mindedness, determination, and downright guts. She put up a shield of prickliness but inside was a person who was deeply hurt and desperately needing to be loved. I just wanted Mark to take care of Tori and put some of his own demons to bed.

Rachel Brimble hits the ground running with this romantic suspense novel and keeps the pace going throughout. I love a whodunnit, and this one certainly keeps you guessing.

Many thanks to Rachel from Rachel’s Random Resources and the author for providing a review copy.
