But as more pieces begin to turn up, Corinne realises that they are far too familiar. Someone knows about the miniature rocking horse and the little doll with its red velvet dress. Someone has been inside her house…

A gripping debut psychological thriller with a twist you won’t see coming. Perfect for fans of I See You and The Widow.

MY REVIEW OF THE DOLL HOUSE

I would never have guessed that this was a debut novel. I was hooked from the first page and the intrigue just grew and grew. By the end I felt like the main characters, sisters Corinne and Ashley, were actually real, they had been described so sublimely.

We follow the sisters lives in alternate chapters. Both are inwardly struggling whilst trying to juggle marriage, families, health concerns and also grieving for the loss of their beloved father.

Interspersed within the family drama a third narrative appears. It is chilling and unnerving, the voice of a troubled soul with her own story to tell.

How are the characters linked?

Where is the mysterious childhood Doll House, built so lovingly by their father, when the girls were young?

What secrets is their mother trying to hide?

I got lost in this book, it was hard to put down and easily one of the best psychological thrillers published last year.

I will definitely be reading more from Phoebe Morgan, for a debut this novel is outstanding and comes highly recommended.
